I’ve tried the Black Forest Cake and the variety of chocolate cakes, and have yet to be disappointed. They also have a vast array of macaroon flavours, and although I’ve never tried one, my friends have always loved them. The Liquid Chocolate is not your average hot chocolate drink, but I personally did not find it as impressive as everything else in the cafe.
Since this is a dessert cafe, this place can get pretty busy – so be weary of bringing large groups! It might be nice to note that they also have a nice heated patio.
Verdict: Despite being fairly expensive for just dessert, I can definitely say that the taste justifies the price! Chocolate lovers will be more than satisfied.

On a good day, the items from here are really good. On a bad day, they are the pits. Still, Vancouver’s downtown isn’t overflowing with higher end bakeries and cafes, so one must make do with Thierry’s for now..
I guess I’ve only been to Thierry on their good days – I’ve almost always bought my usual slices of chocolate cake and desserts and the same choices are always solid! With all the mixed reviews, you must be right.
