Dropped in for an early catch-up dinner with a friend and checked out Foundation for the first time. First things first: hipster, cheap, not the cleanest place. But if you’re looking for a cool, inexpensive place to eat on Main St. – Foundation fits the description! They serve you water in jars instead of glasses and have a ton of affordable items on the menu. There’s a good amount of seating, but I’ve heard this place gets super busy in the evening!
Nachos: 3/3 – Awesome – huge portion of cheap, cheesy goodness enough to share with another person. Can’t say anything about quality of ingredients, but this is Hipster Heaven. I loved everything from the onions to the black olives to the peppers to the sour cream and salsa! Don’t be fooled by the photo – this is a MOUNTAIN of nachos. There ‘s another layer below the one you see!
Verdict: Although I didn’t get the chance to try anything else, the prices are all in the same range (under $15) so I wouldn’t mind checking out other items as well. The filling, cheap, tasty nachos are enough to make me ignore the hipster look/feel and come back.
Overall Rating: 4/5
